1983

Technosub established in Abitibi-Témiscamingue

A major agreement was signed with Japanese pump company Tsurumi to distribute pumps in Canada. Technosub decided to expand to Northern Ontario—a region with a strong mining industry—and opened its first two branches in Timmins and Sudbury.

2003

Tsurumi Canada established

The head office was established in Boucherville and a sales team focused on developing a Canadian distribution network was created.

2005

Edmonton branch opens

The branch houses two separate brands, Technosub and Tsurumi Canada. The two divisions share an office and warehouse but operate separately.

2009

Winnipeg branch opens

The branch houses two separate brands, Technosub and Tsurumi Canada. The two divisions share an office and warehouse but operate separately.

2009

Creation of the Integrated Solutions department, specialized in industrial and mine dewatering

In addition to sales and repair, the company began to offer design and engineering services for complete mining pumping and dewatering solutions, including on-site commissioning.

2010

Moncton branch opens

2012

Manufactured expanded in Rouyn-Noranda

Technosub’s 60,000 sq. ft. plant became the largest pump facility in Canada.

Saskatoon branch opens

The branch houses two separate brands, Technosub and Tsurumi Canada. The two divisions share an office and warehouse but operate separately.

2017

Miller Sales & Engineering acquired

Located in Tucson, Arizona, Miller Sales & Engineering has been specializing in industrial and mining dewatering engineering since 1966.

2020

Clowe & Cowan acquired

Located in El Paso, Texas, Clowe & Cowan specializes in industrial and mining dewatering. The company sells, distributes and manufactures industrial pumps primarily for the municipal and mining sectors.

2021

Mudwizard launched as a new division

Technosub launches a new, more environmentally friendly division after many innovations to help mining companies manage their water. Mudwizard specializes in separating and treating sludge generated by mining, drilling and civil construction operations.

2024

Head office expanded and renovated

Due to the company’s growth and in line with the Group’s business strategy, Technosub inaugurated a new space that fosters and promotes its employees’ creativity.
