A Turnkey Pumping Station
Start-up of a Pumping Station
When our client needed to reinforce the reliability of its drinking water supply, they turned to Technosub to deliver a robust and flexible solution. The mission: design and manufacture a fully equipped, self-priming pumping station that could operate in the demanding conditions of a remote mining site—all within a tight delivery window.
Meeting a Critical Need
To ensure continuous operation at the site’s filtration plant, they required an additional surface water intake capable of delivering raw water to supplement the existing system. Technosub rose to the challenge with a custom-designed system that seamlessly combines innovation, practicality, and performance.
Key Features of the System
- Flow capacity of 100 GPM with a pumping height of up to 250 feet.
- Housed in an insulated and electrified 20-foot container for easy transport and protection from harsh weather.
- Two Grundfos CR pumps designed for solo or parallel operation, driven by variable-frequency starters for energy efficiency.
- Integrated Q-VAC automatic priming system for reliable, autonomous self-priming.
- Self-contained vacuum pump with dedicated controller for consistent priming performance.
This solution not only fulfills operational needs but does so with built-in flexibility, allowing the system to adapt to changing demands on site.
Technosub’s collaboration with this client reflects what’s possible when deep technical know-how meets customer-driven innovation. With this installation, the mine gains added peace of mind—and a reliable lifeline to raw water, no matter the conditions.
